Guided Self-Drive Convoy Tours

We offer *guided 2×4 / 4×4 Self-Drive Convoy Tours – where we fully manage the schedule and itinerary to selected Wildlife Parks and Nature Reserves within  the Southern African region. These typical type of tours will range from a few days to a couple of weeks, where one would camp at selected sites and move onto the next site, fulfilling the itinerary and schedule.

I will be your personal Professional Field Guide, leading and guiding the whole operation and sharing the experience with the tour party. During the course of the tour we will share topics on the Wildlife eco-system within an area, from the Big 5 mammals to insects, from the trees to the grasses, fauna & flora, and by no means least, the abundant bird life within Southern Africa

*You travel in your own / rented 2×4 / 4×4 vehicle SUV / Bakkie or similar (unless otherwise stated in package), – equipped, or with off road camper trailer, in a convoy of other vehicles.

If you are the adventurous type and wanting to experience the wildlife to its fullest by camping under the stars, but still having the comforts to enjoy the outdoor life, this is the tour for you.

On certain tours you will also experience 4×4 driving, where you are under good care and guidance on how to operate your vehicle under such conditions, where having peace of mind, I having attained The Accredited Off-Road Advanced Driving – TETA 09-201 Certificate.

I carry the necessary off-road recovery gear, so you do not have to buy or bring your own gear, just your vehicle (not sedan) but x2 / x4 SUV / Bakkie or similar.

Luxury Game Lodges

We are registered Operators of selected Luxury Game Lodges, where we fully manage the schedule and itinerary, where I am your Principal Guide for the duration of your stay and will also co-host / guide the game drives. You can unwind and be pampered in the beautiful surroundings and settings of the selected lodges, whether it be the Kruger National Park (Northern area – Limpopo), Waterberg (Limpopo Province) area, you can enjoy the raw, untouched beauty and slow safari away from the business of life, an escape from the city surrounded by the beauty and tranquillity of pristine wilderness.

These packages include all meals (gourmet dining & beverages – (selected lodges where stated), morning and afternoon Game Drives (in open vehicle) & / or Walking Safari Trails – sundowners, snacks and fully serviced luxury accommodation.

Wilderness Camps

We are registered Operators of the Wilderness Camps in the Selati Game Reserve, where we have the choice of certain exclusive use camps situated in the 28 000 hectare Big 5 Reserve with catering and non-catering options.

Selati Game Reserve is home not only to the Big 5, as the reserve’s wide variety of habitats gives rise to incredible biodiversity. A vibrant bird population, over 50 mammal species and a diverse range of geological substructures allow for a myriad of plant and animal species. The incredibly rare cycad, Encephalartos dyerianus, occurs exclusively among the beautiful granite Lillie kopje formation in the South of the Reserve.

These packages include all meals, morning and afternoon Game Drives (in open vehicle) & / or Walking Safari Trails and serviced accommodation.

EcoTraining Courses / Activities

In association with EcoTraining, we offer enthusiast programmes and wildlife courses / activities designed for everyone who is interested in nature, or simply to learn more about being in the bush. This is a great way for the corporate world to offer its employees or clients to learn and appreciate the diverse wildlife ecosystem that we have in Southern Africa and to partake in the physical hands on activities of birding, wilderness walking trails, wildlife tracking on foot and other tailor made / customised activities. There’s something for everyone who has a passion for nature and wildlife. With every EcoTraining course, your knowledge will be enhanced, and your enthusiasm nurtured.

Their unfenced camps in large dangerous game areas also offer complete immersion in nature and practical experience. With two activities daily – like game drives and game walks – there’s never a dull moment on a course.

Walking the Pafuri (Northern Kruger Park)

Hutwini & Nkula Trails Camps: You’ll call the seasonal bush camp home, where staff serves fuel for the next day’s trek: rich food and drink in hearty portions.

The walking safari offers guests the opportunity to focus on the little things, whilst also experiencing the rush of adrenaline when you happen upon some of the Big 5.

These packages include all meals, beverages – local beers, soft drinks, spirits, house wines & snacks, morning Walking Safari Activities and afternoon Game Drives (in open vehicle), and serviced accommodation. Option – afternoon, Game Drives in open vehicle.

Primitive Walks: Each night you will sleep wild in a different magnificent location. As this is a primitive trail, you will be sleeping under the stars wherever the guides decide to stop for the day.
