DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 01 Depart Gauteng / Other – Jungle Light (Bots)
My home base is in Springs (Gauteng), outside Johannesburg where the guided tour will start. However, if you are from outside Gauteng province, then we will meet at a designated border post on DAY 01 on the morning (11:00hrs) of the start of the tour.

Camping essentials such as food and drinks should be considered for purchase before leaving home. This will alleviate any time delays whilst on route to the 1st overnight site stop.

DAY 03 Depart Windhoek – Etosha Halai camp
Overnight: Halai
Meals: Self catering Typical Sightings: Halai area is known for Lion, Cheetah, Black Rhino, Blue Wildebeest, Red Hartebeest, Springbok, Black-Faced Impala, Elephant.
Activities: Guided self drive in own vehicle to Halai.
Optional: Relax at camp or guided self drive (time dependant)

Activities: Morning & afternoon guided game self drive in own vehicle. The route will be determined by reported sightings, rainfall & game migration.

Meals: Self catering Typical Sightings: Okaukuejo area is known for Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, White Rhino, Giraffe, Oryx, Eland, Roan, Sable, Zebra.
Activities: Guided self drive in own vehicle to Okaukuejo.
Optional: Relax at camp or guided self drive (time dependant)

Activities: Morning & afternoon guided game self drive in own vehicle. The route will be determined by reported sightings, rainfall & game migration.

Activities: Morning & afternoon – explore the area, rock climbing / hiking.

DAY 11 Depart Spitzkoppe – Moon Valley

Activities: Guided self drive in own vehicle to Moon Valley. Moon Valley area is known for its parched desert plains and wind-sculpted topography

Activities: Explore the area and see the Welwitchia plants – “living fossils” (1 500 yrs old)

It is expected from clients on guided self drive camping tours to assist with general camping duties & conduct own camp set-up.
