DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 01 Depart Gauteng / Other – Khama Rhino Sanctuary (Bots)
My home base is in Springs (Gauteng), outside Johannesburg where the guided tour will start. However, if you are from outside Gauteng province, then we will meet at a designated border post on DAY 01 on the morning (11:00hrs) of the start of the tour.

Camping essentials such as food and drinks should be considered for purchase before leaving home. This will alleviate any time delays whilst on route to the 1st overnight site stop.

DAY 01 Depart Gauteng / Other – Khama Rhino Sanctuary (Bots)
Overnight: Khama Rhino Sanctuary
Meals: Self catering
Activities: Afternoon guided game self drive in own vehicle
Optional: Instead of drive, sit and relax at camp site or enjoy the amenities on offer at the Sanctuary

DAY 02 Depart Khama Rhino Sanctuary – Maun – Island Safari / Drifters
Overnight: Maun –
Meals: Self catering
Activities: Last minute supply purchases etc
Optional: Relax at camp

DAY 03 Depart Maun – Kwai North Gate
Overnight: Kwai
Meals: Self catering  
Activities: Guided self drive in own vehicle to Kwai. Moremi area is known for its endangered species of large mammals: the cheetah, white rhinoceros, black rhinoceros, African wild dog and lion. Over 500 bird species (from water birds to forest dwellers).
Optional: Relax at camp or guided self drive (time dependant)

DAY 04 Kwai
Overnight: Kwai 
Meals: Self catering
Activities: Morning & afternoon guided game self drive in own vehicle. The route will be determined by reported sightings, rainfall & game migration. The Kwai area predator-rich area. There are high concentrations of predators and a healthy population of wild dog.
Optional: Relax at camp

DAY 05 Depart Kwai North Gate – Savuti
Overnight: Savuti 
Meals: Self catering
Guided self drive in own vehicle to Savuti. Savuti area is famous for its predators, especially its resident lion and spotted hyena populations. 
Optional: Relax at camp or guided self drive (time dependant)

DAY 06 Savuti
Overnight: Savuti
Meals: Self catering
Activities: Morning & afternoon guided self drive in own vehicle. The route will be determined by reported sightings, rainfall & game migration.

Guided self drive in own vehicle to Linyanti. Linyanti area is famous for its predators, especially its resident lion and spotted hyena populations. 
Optional: Relax at camp or guided self drive (time dependant)

DAY 09 Linyanti
Overnight: Linyanti
Meals: Self catering
Activities: Morning & afternoon guided game self drive in own vehicle. The route will be determined by reported sightings, rainfall & game migration.

DAY 10 Linyanti

DAY 11 Depart Linyanti – Chobe Ihaha
Overnight: Ihaha
Meals: Self catering
Guided self drive in own vehicle to Chobe. Chobe area is famous for its massive elephant populations, big herds of buffalo, large lion prides & abundant birdlife.
Optional: Relax at camp or guided self drive (time dependant)

DAY 12 Chobe
Overnight: Ihaha
Meals: Self catering
Activities: Morning & afternoon guided game self drive in own vehicle. The route will be determined by reported sightings, rainfall & game migration.
Optional: Relax at camp

DAY 13 Chobe
Overnight: Ihaha
Meals: Self catering
Activities: Morning & afternoon guided game self drive in own vehicle. The route will be determined by reported sightings, rainfall & game migration.

DAY 14 Depart Chobe Ihaha – Nata
Overnight: Nata
Meals: Self catering
Guided self drive in own vehicle to Nata. Nata area is known for the bird sanctuary and salt pans
Optional: Relax at camp or visit the bird sanctuary / pans

DAY 15 Depart Nata – Gauteng / Other
Meals: Self catering
Activities: No activities, cross border & drive to your home destination

It is expected from clients on guided self drive camping tours to assist with general camping duties & conduct own camp set-up.
Accommodation can vary from the itinerary depending on availability.
