Pafuri, in the wild north of the Kruger National Park, is unrivalled walking safari country. You’ll call the seasonal bush camp home, where staff serves fuel for the next day’s trek: rich food and drink in hearty portions. The walking safari offers guests the opportunity to focus on the little things, whilst also experiencing the rush of adrenaline when you happen upon the Big 5.

The area has both semi-arid vegetation including numerous large baobabs as well as rich riverine forests with large Nyala Trees and Jackalberries. Game is plentiful all year round. The area is probably most famous for its elephant and buffalo herds.

The Hutwini & Nkula camps are in the same vicinity & a few minutes walk from each other. The Hutwini camp has recently been upgraded, hence higher priced, but the package & experience for both camps remain same – meals, beverages, activities etc..

On walking safaris you can expect to encounter an array of changing landscapes, from bushveld to riverine forests, mountains to floodplains, and perennial pans, which all attract a spectacular variety of animals and birds. Discover forests of Fever trees, groves of Baobabs, and a diverse collection of wildlife.

These packages include all meals, beverages – local beers, soft drinks, spirits, house wines & snacks, morning Walking Safari activities and afternoon Game Drives (in open vehicle), and serviced accommodation.

Walks: Each group is accompanied by two expert guides- a Lead Trails Guide and a Back-Up Trails Guide – to ensure utmost safety during walking safaris among the Big Five.

Drives: Each group is accompanied by one or two expert guides to provide the services expected on one’s game drive.
